Zora Goes To School is the third book in the Zora The Water Dog series.

Zora is on a new journey... school! She is excited and eager but then realizes she is also nervous about her first day of school. Who is the teacher? What will the other students be like? Will everyone like her? Will she do well? All questions and anxieties many new students have before going to school.

This story will walk new students through all the emotions that go along with starting school as well as give lessons to make it easier. This book will help young children see that being nervous is okay, that you can get through it and that once you do, it feels great! Children can relate to Zora's stories, making some of life's big steps fun and not so scary!

They do their best to help Zora by giving her advice. They see Zora is anxious so they do what they can to ease her mind. Many parents can relate to sending their kids off to school for the first time!

The Girl
The child in Zora Goes To School is also headed to school! She is going on the journey along with Zora, sharing in all the emotions. They are there for each other and are so excited at the end of the day to share their experiences!

From the Author
Zora has been such a special part of my life since the day she came home with us. We had the pick of the litter with 11 puppies to choose from. However, Zora is really the one who chose us! She was the one puppy biting at our feet and running around the room when we went to visit the litter. We knew immediately she was our puppy! Zora had our full attention for a couple years and then learned to share after we had our two daughters. Zora spent countless hours with me as I fed and rocked my daughters in the late night and early morning hours. I found myself writing about my four-legged companion during this time beginning with rhymes about how she came to be a part of my life. This led to the Zora book series! Young children will love the rhyming story line along with the vibrant illustrations. I know my children do!

The Author
Amanda Lowney is originally from and currently resides in Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Amanda currently enjoys the privilege of being a stay at home mom to her two amazing daughters. Amanda has always loved writing and decided to make it a career shortly after the arrival of her first daughter. In addition to being an author, mom and proud dog owner, Amanda enjoys baking sweets for her family and tending her modest backyard garden.
