Personal story of a Christian life enriched by Buddhist practices
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
This book is an autobiography of Elaine MacInnes, a Roman Catholic nun and accredited Zen Buddhist teacher. It chronicals her search for and discovery of a closer spiritual relationship with God through the study and practice of Buddhist meditative practices. It does a great job of explaining Asian practices to Westerners in a way that makes Buddhism seem less "exotic", while preserving its profound message of "One-ness" (for lack of a better word). I'd recommend this book to any Christian looking to enrich his/her prayer life with practices from other traditions, or anyone interested in promoting Christian-Buddhist dialogue.
