A lot of philosophy and the struggles of life expressed in cartoon form
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
My all time favorite line from the Peanuts comic strip and close to the best I have ever heard is uttered in this book, "I LOVE mankind, it's people I can't stand." There is a great deal of philosophy disguised as humor in Peanuts, poor Charlie Brown and his friends are a microcosm of the problems, insecurities and failures that we all must live through. Fortunately, they are mere cartoons so their feelings don't really get hurt. We mere humans have to live with them, but we can take comfort in the fact that we can temper those problems somewhat by reading about them in the funny papers.
