A lavishly illustrated "how-to" guide shows how to plan a vintage-themed wedding or simply add elegant touches from the past. 108 illustrations and photos. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a nice general overview of wedding fashion and trends from 1910-1950, especially if you want a vintage wedding but aren't yet sure of what era you are interested in. But I already knew what era I wanted to emulate (1910ish) and so most of the information I didn't really need. There is a lot more information for the later decades in the book than the earlier ones, and overall there could have been more information on the small details, such as favors, food, floral. For example, it listed trends for the 1910s but they were trends of the decade, not trends for weddings of that decade. Very pretty book, well laid out, nice photgraphs and "case studies" of recent vintage themed weddings, but if you want a specific decade, get this book from the library and look elsewhere for specific details.
Wonderful book for Vintage Wedding tips...

This book is a wonderful read for anyone who is planning a vintage wedding, or at least to incorporate vintage details into their wedding. What I liked about this book is not how it focuses on what "they used to do" but how as a modern bride you can attain the same vintage feeling without trying to impossibly re-create the time period you most aspire to. Along with Vintage Wedding: Simple Ideas for Creating a Romantic Vintage Wedding by Daniela Turudich, these books are excellent for planning a unique, romantic and vintage wedding.
