Children and ghosts have been linked together for centuries. Children seem to see ghosts more often than do adults. There are plenty of children who are supposed to have become ghosts . . . and there are many strange legends of ghosts and ghostly happenings. At the center of it all is a young girl named Betsy.
Young Ghosts is written by Daniel Cohen (author of Pan Am 103 with his wife Susan). The book is a short engrossing and easy to read book about ghosts of people who died young and premature. I don't think Cohen believes in ghosts but he does an objective point of view in pointing out ghost legends of American history. Cohen's book is great for those young readers who show interests in paranormal or want to learn about the ghosts that supposedly haunts places.

I've been a fan of the supernatural since I was a kid. Not to say I believe in it all, but I always find myself looking into it.Daniel Cohen has to be one of the most prolific non-fiction writers out there, and this book does not disappoint. I have read several dozen 'true ghost' books and for some reason this one was one of the creepiest...perhaps since it was about children, but regardless, if you're tired of stale, encylopedia style books that don't really get into the sightings, this is the book for you.

I'm not a really big fan of the supernatural. But after reading this book it really made me think. I especially liked the story the Avenging Ghost. It was the best.
