You Too Can Be Prosperous

This book takes the old fundamental religious right and instead of old laws and having to be right all the time, puts it into personal and livable terms.. It says that you too can be anything you desire as long as you have the faith and belief that it will happen. It makes scripture make sense and workable in your every day life.. It is about you and NO one else..You are the hero or not in this book.. Loved it!

A Classic Book That Should Be Part Of Everyone's Library!

You Too, Can Be Prosperous was recommended to me by David Neagle. If you haven't listened to one of his programs or seen him speak live, I highly recommend that you do so. This book was powerful. What I liked about it is that it helped clarify some of the teachings of Jesus Christ, one of the greatest metaphysical teachers who ever lived. An example of this is when Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Most people mistake meekness for weakness or for being a human door mat. On the contrary, according to Robert Russell, a person who is meek is a strong man (or woman) who has grown tender. A meek person is gentle, patient, open-minded man who has entered upon his inheritance. There are many pearls of wisdom in this book such as: "When we relinquish our love of things, we can have them in abundant measure." "It is right to pray for material things when we have the right mental equivalent of them: in other words, when we have made ourselves worthy of them." One that I enjoyed particularly was this one, especially in this age of high gas prices and the so-called "recession." "Banks fail, corporations fail, jobs fail, professions fail, but God never fails. My friend, if your job were to play out tomorrow and you had an absolute realization of God as the Only Employer, you would quickly step into a better job than you had ever had before." There are more examples in the book about the meaning behinds Jesus's teachings. This book will help anyone whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or agnostic. I can say that with confidence because I myself am NOT a Christian yet I found great value in reading the book. I am on my second reading and I plan to make this book one that I refer to often.

An Oldie but Goodie!

If you're looking for some thought provoking ideas that can improve your life, this book is for you! If you are ready to totally absorb this book's message, it could change your life!Written in 1950, it reads like a typical early metaphysical book, very... sometimes overly... simplistic. Don't let it's simple message fool you. Every word is as powerful as you determine to make it!The book starts out by asking you to repeat the phrase "I am prosperity" 100 times with thought and meaning. Do it. If you agree that you actually felt something (better, more confident, less worried, etc.) after repeating that simple phrase you owe it to yourself to buy this book and put it's simple messages into practice. The book gives you advise on how to develope the prosperity mind set, by associating daily habits with your new ideas, by doing meditations, by increasing what we praise, by never discussing difficult times or lack of any sort, etc.The book makes many religious references and stresses that God cannot know lack of any kind and that even our American dollars say "In God We Trust". We are to "practice the presence of God" to realize the abundance of the universe.Very interesting reading. Despite it's age it's still very relevant to our time!

You, Too, Can Be Prosperous

This book was copyrighted in 1950. I was cleaning out my book shelf and discovered it. Since it was so old I figured it would be old stuff. But, rather than put it in the "Good Will" pile, I decided to read it again.I couldn't put it down. I am now ready to "understand" the message the author is sending. This is powerful stuff he is giving us. I recommend this book to everyone. Thank you Robert Russell!
