This book is a recollection of the adventures and experiences of a family of six as they moved from place to place in the formative years of the family. It generally covers the period from 1940 through 1960, with references to the 1920s and mini-epilog forays into the 2020's. The book is a series of 72 'post cards' consisting of very short 'stories', accompanied by over 200 photographs. It is organized in a somewhat chronological order based on location. It follows the family as they lived in eleven houses in seven towns in Piedmont and coastal North Carolina and Virginia. Reports of their experiences, challenges, celebrations, connections, and funny stories as they go from being 'city-slickers' to 'beach 'bums' to 'homesteaders'.
