This Book Should be Required Reading for Every Parent With a Child Entering Middle School

This is a clear and concise guide to understanding the motives, instincts, and pressures driving every teenage child in our society today. It gives parents tools to help them remain one step in front of their teenager's next thoughts, which just might be the step that saves his or her life. Each example of probable conflict is explained from both the parent's and teenager's perspective and suggestions are offered to possibly circumvent the issues or deal with there inevitable consequences. For every example there is a real life case history to reinforce the issue. Parents are given up to date advice to help deal with issues such as weeding out teen lies, communicating with other parents, and sizing up the capability of the person responsible to drive there son or daughter to the mall. An interesting reason for parent's not to constantly expect too much from their teen is made by pointing out the fact that a segment of brain matter remains immature until age twenty three. It's a teen's job to make mistakes. A parent's job is to keep them from making the ones that may affect the rest of their lives.
