Starts at the very beginning and builds from there

I love the layout of this book. It starts with the very basics, such as naming notes/keys and positioning each hand on the keyboard, and builds from there. The instruction takes the learner through each step needed to play the piano. With this book and practice, anyone can learn to play. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to learn and is starting from scratch.

Great for a beginner

I obtained this beginner book for my son who has started to learn to play the keyboard. He has been using it a lot and his talent has greatly inproved in the short time since I got him the book.

easy !

Ordering this was one of the best and simple things I have done in a long time, I am on my way to learning how to play piano my dream and the book works great with the CD I love it!

A teacher to help you

This book really will help you play the piano. It is like having a teacher there at your side to teach you step by step. Good for all want-a-be piano students. I have used other books on learning to play the piano this one is the best.

There maybe hope?

I am learning both notation and piano playing from this book. Besides, having the music on the CD, the author includes help. She gives the sounds and instructions on how she wants you to play the material and how it should sound. Her explanation of 1-2-3-4, and 1 & 2 & 4. has helped me to play the eighth note. I hope by the time I finish this book I will do what she can be done with her book. I found a problem. The CD. Where do I put it? My solution was to place the CD in my portable CD player, used my second set of stereo computer speakers and place them on my Suzuki upright digital piano, where the unit is at arm's length. I find that, you need that set up.
