Excellent book for ages 10 and OVER

I have read these books since I was 9 and I'm 12 now. They are very good and well written, always exciting and interesting. I would not reccomend these for people under 9 or 10 because you may find it too complicated like I did. Unlike boring Thoroughbred books that drag out or unrealistic, poorly written heartland books, these move quickly and are very realistic. This one was especially funny and intruiguing. Read it!

Good For Younger Readers

This book was good for girls ages 10 and under. If you are older, you will probably find this book unrealistic and boring. If you are looking for something for older readers, get Thoroughbred and Heartland. This book was about Lisa's friend and her visit to Pine Hollow.

great book!

this is a great book and i recomend it to everyone,i love the bit where veronicar gets a lump of coal!

Teriffic book!!!

This book was sooo good! You can tell that friendship is really important in this book because if not Merill would always only think that Braq is the only horse suitable for her! But the Saddle Club and Phil and AJ helps Merill discover that she can jump on lots of other horses too! This is a great book and you can learn a new game too, if you don't know how to play Yakee Swap! It's a great game to play but I don't think Veronica thinks so! Want to know why? Just read this book!

great

Lisa has a friend over, Merril, who is shy, but a great rider, who has just started jumping. She attends the Horse Wise jumping clinic, but does horribly because of her inconfidence in her self and shiness. Then Carole teaches her how to jump in a private lesson, and now Merill is confident. The problem is that Merill's parents said they'd buy her a horse for her birthday, which is on the last day of the clinic. She then decides that Barq is the only horse she can jump on. Then she decides to buy Barq, limiting herself in her mind. The Saddle Club must come up with a way to convince her not to buy Barq, for her own sake. It takes a special kind of swap to do that.
