For an fan of Xavier basketball, this is a must read. Michael Perry goes into the history of Xavier men's basketball, from the beginning, through the 1958 NIT Championship, the lean years of the late 60's and early 70's, and into their rebirth, starting with the Bob Staak era, continuing with Pete Gillen, the late Skip Prosser, Thad Matta, with the book finishing with the story of the 2008 Elite Eight run under Sean Miller. As a life long fan of Xavier basketball, and an alumnus of the university, it was a joy to read, and wonderful to relive the teams that I remember, and to learn more about the teams that played before I was born. If you can get your hands on a copy, go for it.
