The first section of this comic book is a major improvement over the adaptation made for the first x-men movie. It is much easier to follow and understand the action taking place. The pages are a mix of values, not overwhelmingly dark as in the first book. The dialogue is much improved, and makes more sense in the context. It is very entertaining. The second story included is very interesting and hints about the past stories of Logan (Wolverine) and Victor Creed (Sabortooth). The artwork is not very good here, but the storyline makes up for it. The third and last story included delves into the character and personal life of Kurt Wagner (aka Nightcrawler). This is the best artwork in the book. The artist nails it with great framing and balance in his shots, and a beautiful expressiveness in his characters. The inking and coloring are fabulous too. Overall, I think this book is a good page turner, and I would reccomend it to x-men fans.
