This book is a compilation of letters by Traudi Krawczyk to her parents in Wesel, Germany. In December of 1951, Traudi and Walter Krawczyk and their two daughters emigrated from Germany to finally reside in St. Paul, Minnesota. Traudi immediately began to send letters home to her parents in Wesel, Germany. The letters continued for 22 years. They reveal the everyday life, activities and love within the Krawczyk family and, especially, Traudi's love for her parents. Her mother saved the letters and years later they were returned to Traudi. They have been translated from German to English. The letters and pictures reveal the Krawczyk family as it grew and immersed itself in life in America.
