Heart Warming, Heart Wrenching

I highly recommend this book. This is a great, easy read. It touches all emotions and wrenches some - it's hilarious and it's heart-breaking. It's full of love and it's full of self-loathing. It's about unanswered questions and silence. It is tragic and it is triumphant. This book puts into perspective two of the most over-used, ridiculously wrong statements we've all heard throughout our lives: "Everything happens for a reason" and "Time heals all sorrows." Everything DOES NOT happen for a reason. Perhaps earthly cause and effect reasons -- but otherwise? I read this book and then re-read it a couple of months later. It's about a child, and about a man, and about a family, and about how a victimized child suffered keeping a secret that tortured him into middle age. Time DOES NOT heal sorrow. This book shows us that "time" simply requires day-to-day action by the person who experienced the suffering that makes it impossible to dwell completely on the sorrow all day, every day(enter self-medication). The sorrow and suffering is always there though -- and this brave book dissects it to its core and exposes it and explains it to the world.

You Gotta Read This Book!!!

Winston Williams has an interesting viewpoint on how the first date should go and he has opened up to us and reveals that maybe his past approach did not work. So this "first date approach" must be the correct way. On his way to discovering how to `entice' the woman of his dreams, he has made revelations that help him define who he really is and why and how this revelation impacts his career, his family, and ultimately his search for the woman of his dreams. A novice writer, a great story teller, and a man who seeks to live by the truth of his existence---Winston Williams takes us on his journey and through his story makes us seek our truth. I think everyone should read this book and dare to stand in the mirror like Winston and ask who am I really and why do I exist? Who should read this book? Every man and woman who had a seemingly normal upbringing (normal being defined as those of us who have blocked out the traumatic events of our lives that subconsciously haunts us daily). We who strive for success in careers, family relationships, and personal lives.

Excellent and enlighten book --- Must Read for College-bound

As a fellow avid reader of good books, I highly recommend, Winston G. Williams' book, Now That I've Told You All That Would You? Mr. Williams' book is both entertaining, resourceful, as well as, captivating. Who knew that someone else felt the same ways and didn't know how to express it? Who knew that others experience adolescent and college years like Mr. Williams? Mr. Williams' book speaks for itself but others (male or female) can relate to his life experiences throughout his book. Now That I've Told You All That Would You? is an original and creativity memoir that actually put you right there in the midst of the actions of his characters. The author captivates your attention until the next life experience is revealed. The reader finds him or herself agreeing with each word from the author and laughing to him or herself of memories of years gone past.

This One Will Turn You Around AND Upside Down!

Okay, I've read all kinds of books in my day, but I have to admit this book had more than its share of surprising twist and turns! What I thought was going to be a simple memoir of a young African American man growing up in a small Texas town turned into quite a reading experience (can one small town have that much drama???). Then Mr. Williams tells of matriculating to one of the largest universities in the country (Hook `em Horns!!), playing in the marching band, and all of the craziness that can happen in the collegiate life. His journey from working jobs to entrepreneurship and trying to juggle a love life in the midst of all that is also fascinating and could have been a separate book in and of itself! Mr. Williams also presents some rather provocative questions in this book, some of which I'm having a tough time answering! For example, what do you do when you're finally dating the woman you want to marry and go to GOD about her....and GOD says "NO, she ain't the one."?? Or should you tell your girl everything there is to know about yourself BEFORE you get married.....quite possibly on the first date? If you want to read a book that will take you to places that you really didn't expect to go, and have you talking about those places with your friends for days on end, I definitely recommend this one!
