Great Book

I was really satisfied with the book and how quickly it came. It was in great shape, just as it was described.

Excellent Book for Geography

This was a required book for the University of Kansas. It is a good reference for this type of book. I don't know if it is the best reference of its type, but it is informative and well-produced.

Interesting book

This geography book is actually very interesting. You can sit down and read this textbook and not find yourself drifing off in space or falling asleep. Worth the money and is a good resource for any college geography student.

Student Review

I used this text for and independant studies course in world geography. It is a wonderful book. While all the definitions in the first chapter can be pretty overwhelming, they are essential for the rest of the book. I enjoyed all of the book and would recomend it to anyone.

Wonderfully Illustrated

A comprehensive regional geography textbook used in an undergraduate geography class I just completed this fall (2002). The author along with her son covers just about every country on earth. This book is timely with comments regarding 9/11 and a little bit on the battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan. The illustrations and pictures are excellent, making the study of geography just that much more interesting. With each region she covers she enlists the help of a local specialized geographer. She also covers enviromental, economic, population (density) social, gender as well as other issues. In general a good textbook.
