The words in this book come from a variety of places. Many of them are in my still-unfinished novella Five to Five. Some are from my life and fantasies; some from the lives and dreams of others. Some are inspired by a friend's poems and many by events happening around all of us.

One time when I was teaching in an executive education program, maybe more than one time, a very senior executive said that if he got one good idea that he used from a program, the week was well spent.
