As a Professional Wedding Planner, I see how people agonize over tiny details of their wedding plans. Unfortunately, a lot of them overlook the Ceremony itself. This book, a very quick 155 pages -- many of which you can skim or skip on the way to your particular religion, explains the traditional Christian wedding services; their Structure, Significance and Symbolism. It also quotes the typical services used by Mainstream Religions and offers some very nice Contemporary, Non-Denominational alternatives. After reading this book you'll understand the Wedding Ceremony and be able to discuss it with your clergyman in order to make yours as memorable as every other part of your wedding day. Even those who are writing their own Ceremony will find this book valuable for the way it breaks the service into component parts and explains their purposes. Note: This book does NOT cover the Catholic or Jewish traditions since there are other books that go into detail on these Ceremonies.
