im so glad that they stopped talking about pride.shining is just so great!!!!!!i guess i should start talking about the story right?so here goes.....pride has just been retired to whitebrook and sammy is wanting another horse to take care of.she still loves pride and wonder but she wants to help train a horse of racing age to prepare for the track.her wish seems to come true when mike brings home shining who is 2 and ready to train.sammy has to admit that this will be her greatest challenge yet.shining is skinny and has lice and worms and tangles in her mane and tail.after a few few hours of work sammy has her looking so much better than when she came home.ashleigh and mike are so impressed that they give her to sammy.her next challenge is to get her ready for the track.it seems impossible but she thinks,no,KNOWS the filly can do it.(i forgot to mention in my other reveiws that sammy had begun to work with a group of disabled kids)a while down the plot she goes to work with the student in the class of the kids thats her favorite,mandy.the girl tells sammy that her birthday is coming up and her parents said that they would think about buying a horse for her("and that usually means yes" i quote).mandy seems to have a good bond with the filly and loves her dearly.and shining loves her right back.every time mandy comes over shining does well in her lesson that day.when sammy is prepping her forr her first race mandys parents make her an offer.will she give up her horse?! read and find out!!!!!

my favorite one-must read!

This book was great! it's one of my favorites. i recommend this book to anyone. i love shining and samantha! Anyway, in this book samantha finally gets her own horse (shining) and is almost ready to race! Then Mandy,a disabled child and a friend of smantha's wants to buy shining and her parents make samantha an offer. A Heartwarming Story!

I thought this book was excellent. It was great to read about Samantha overcoming long odds and everyones' doubts. She believed in herself and followed her heart I'll admit it. This book made me cry! A true winner.

The Luckiest Girl On Earth

Samantha has to be the luckiest girl on earth when she gets Shining, Wonder's half sister. The filly may not look like a relative of Wonder's but she is. The filly does not live up to her name but Samantha is deturmined to show the world what Shining can do. Can these two show the world that Shining can fill in Wonder's shoes? That is for me to know and you to find out.
