With stunning photography and fascinating text, Wonders of the World takes you on a journey across six continents to discover the marvels of architecture from antiquity to the present day.
While the European wonder monuments and structures are covered in great detail (50% of the book is dedicated to Europe), America and Asia Pac coverage leaves lot to desire. For example, the Maoi Statues of Easter Island are mysteriously left out and so does many a marvels of India like its huge temples (Meenakshi Temple, Madurai). Also, America is very 'thin-ly' represented with the Steel Arc of St. Louis missing amongst many others. Having said all this, a thought should go down to the great pictoral coverage of the book. The photos are great and explain the life of the buildings. So if there is one book to take home to capture the wonders of the world - this will be it!
