I'm a children's librarian so I come across children's books new and old all day every day. However, it's a rare book that I go ahead and buy for myself and my friend's childrens and my nieces and nephews. Wonder Bear has fantastic, gorgeous illustrations and since it has no words, the story can change each time you read it. Highly recommended!

My grandson just loves this book. After first reading he requested reading every night for a week. He especially loved to provide his own impressions of the wonderful drawings. He sees every details in the drawings and correct the oversight of his eyesight challenged grandfather. We even went on the web page of the author and "read" the other stories. We can hardly wait for her new book which we understand should be out for the 2010 Easter holiday. We even bought copies to take overseas as gift and was well received.

this was our first book purchase for our baby who's due in four months. purchased on a whim at our local book shop and later discovered the author was local at one time, too. i love the colors, the illustrations, and even the textures of the embossed dust jacket. i am absolutely smitten and inspired and look forward to "reading" this story over and over, as well as buying the book as a gift for my friends' and family.
love this book - gorgeous illustrations

the illustrations in this book are beautiful - yeah the story changes every time, depending on who is "reading" it, but who cares? sure a toddler might not want all of his books to change stories according to the "reader", but the single book? its really going to be ok. my toddler (18mo) son loves this book, and I'm sure he'll get his hot little hands on it soon without our supervision and he'll tear pages - but then we'll just buy another one!
