A provocative read!

This book is unbelievably addicting. It was so hard to put down that I read it in one day. I definately recommend this book to anyone looking for a great summer read. Her words and imagery are so extremely powerful that you lose yourself to the world she created.

Insightful, gripping, tantalizing

From the minute I started to read this book, it was hard for me to put it down. Ms. Martir captured the essence of her characters with such finesse and clarity, that I felt like I knew them. Her story was intoxicating on so many levels. I recommend it for anyone who cares about the human struggle and the ability to overcome adversity through the help of others and reliance on oneself!

AMAZING

If you're looking for a great book to read during your commute to/from work or to pass the time lying on the beach this summer A Women's Cry should be your #1 choice. I could not put this book down! I was anxious to turn the page and continue the story of Fabian and India. The chapters are short enough that you can finish a chapter on your way to/from work and the story is so captivating that the minutes just fly by and you can't believe you've reached the last page of the book. I would HIGHLY recommend this book especially to a young woman living in NYC.

Captivating

Once you start reading this book, you become hooked. It's details and descriptions make you forget where you are and you begin to think that your right there with the character. I personally have almost missed my stop off the train reading this book. This book is a must read and you will not regret it.

Awesome, inspiring, motivational, captivating

You will not be able to put the book down as soon as you start reading it. This story will be extremely inspiring to a whole generation of young Latinas who may be in or find themselves in similar trapped situations that threaten to strip their identity. The book is raw when necessary, tender when called for, but gripping throughout.
