Buy this book for yourself and your daughters

How a woman's body functions has always been cloaked in mystery - whether it be the menstrual, pregnancy, and menopause myths or the cold, clinical, $10 words that require a medical dictionary to decipher. Now Wilson has made those mysteries accessible to all. Woman : Your Body, Your Health uses normal English and a no-nonsense style to discuss topics ranging from basic anatomy to hormone interactions to changes through a woman's life. Included with the science are social and culture issues and their influence on a woman's health. I think what I liked best was the focus on health and keeping healthy. Menstration, pregnancy, and menopause are not medical illnesses to be corrected, but normal physiological occurences in a woman's life. It's a book I have loaned to my daughter, and sister, and aunts, and nieces, and friends.I am not the only one impressed with the book. I have been using this book as a foundation for a biology of woman class for the past four years! ! . The students repeatedly comment on the readability and practicality. When new textbooks for biology of women come out, I bring them in to get student comment. It is always the same - a resounding DON'T CHANGE. I encourage all women and men to read this book.
