This book relates present day encounters of people with Jesus. It presents these encounters as objectively as possible. This book is not intended to covert anyone to a particular way of thinking or to the author's religion of choice. The book relates how many people are spiritually moved or changed after enountering Jesus (some possible ways - visions, dreams etc.,) but not everyone ends up becoming a "believer" or converts to Christianity. There are accounts of people left wondering what happened, brushing the whole experience to the side as unimportant, or thinking "there was that weird thing that happened to me once upon a time." To view the range of the many interpretations of these events is interesting in itself. The best description for this book is that it lets the reader decide for him or herself if these reports are valid or hold any weight. It also pushes past the belief that Jesus's appearance here on Earth were limited to those in the Bible. If you believe that God is still very much active in today's life or wonder how God might appear to us today, this book is worth your time.
A book well worth reading

This book stuck out in a row of library books as I walked down the aisle of a local library in 1998. I had been recovering from a severe illness when I found this book and read it. It gave me tremendous hope and it helped me to understand more about Jesus. Jesus is alive as the Messiah, and all the scriptures bear testimony to this fact, but Sparrow's book gives present day evidence, to those who can accept it, that He is alive and loves each person. Sparrow, for his excessive analysis, makes it wonderfully clear that Jesus came to know, love, heal and save both those who saw Him in a vision and all others who seek Him. Read the book and you will understand.
