A truly simple and clear explanation of a remarkable process

Gordon Stokes has been in the vanguard of the alternative and complimentary health and education field. He was director of Touch for Health International for 11 years before establishing, along with co-founder Daniel Whitesides, Three In One Concepts Educational Corporation, a revolutionary approach to providing corrective exercises for learning disabilities. Together they have written many books to explain the complexities of the brain and demonstrate the power of our minds in easy and gentle techniques to eliminate stressors forever that keep us from living full healthy lives. This book is a culminating feature written for parents especially to enable them to understand from where learning problems in their school age children derive and to illustrate simple but extremely powerful exercises that literally remove the blocks that we have either created for ourselves or have literally brought them "on line" through the DNA that cause stress and invariably learning problems, classic dyslexia, and overall perceptual problems that even affect our relationships with one another. The techniques actually pull from a variety of disciplines, often comprising nothing more than our imagination and visualization abilities to clear doubt and confusion. Stokes himself was a child with dyslexia. He couldn't read. More importantly he describes how "dumb" he felt and it affected his whole being. Children who feel bad about themselves grow up to be adults who feel bad about themselves, and we all know the devastating impact that can create not only for the individual but for all of us. The thrust of the book and the whole process itself is to identify the feelings behind the problem; change these feelings; and imagine what we desire. Clearer perceptions emerge, and skills in reading, writing, thinking, and math become stronger. A must reading for any parent concerned about their child's academic progress and for every teacher who must deal with these problems. The key is being willing to benefit, trust the process, and staying open to new possibilities.
