One of the best books I've ever read!

Such a great young person's book! After reading it in middle school I actually still have it on my bookshelf as an middle-agefged adult. You'll need a box of tissues but it's so worth it! Sidenote- it's under the category Gay and Lesbian books, but that is NOT correct, Juvenile Fiction/Drama is the correct category

With You and Without You

WIth You and Without You is an excellent book. It's about a girl named Liza O'Hara and she's worried that things will never be the same again, because her dad dies and she doesn't want to celebrate christmas and visit her dads grave. she doesn't want to move out of 25 Bayberry because that house has been in her family for over two hundred years, she doesn't want to move because she won't have her own room, and her brother brent is worrired he won't have enough monet to go to college. But the school gives him a scholarship. The O'Hara's life does get better and It'll be the samewith their dad or without their dad.

Excellent Book - should be back in print

I read this book years ago, as well as all of the other books by Ann M. Martin. However, this one was my all time favorite. I gave it away to someone and now I wish I had it for my own future children. I really think this book should go back into print because it is one that so many children would love to read. It is truly excellent.

This is a great story!

It has been a long time since I have read this book, so I don't remember a lot of the details, but this is one of my favorite books. As a former teacher I tend to be very selective about books for teenagers. This is a great story. It is also very realistic. Of course, I have a personal interest in the story - my mother has cardiomyopathy, the same disease that the main character's father has.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!!

This is one of my all-time favorite books, and this is arguably Ms. Martin's best novel ever. I cried and cried reading this wonderful story, mostly because I lost my beloved grandmother to cancer. I identified with every struggle the O'Hara family faced in the wake of the death of their father, mostly I identified with Liza and Hope, who mourned in different ways. I can't recommend this simple but powerful book enough. I don't care how old you are. It's worth it.
