Loved this book as a child

I read and reread this book many times as a child. The idea of having a magical pet who'd been revered by the Egyptians was enthralling to me. I also loved the way the main character finds out how to use her powers and what will happen if they're misused. In the same way that Harry Potter does, Witch Cat makes you wait and hope for the day you find out about your witchcraft abilities. A charming read.
