Churchill for dummies

Well when this book was published then probably the "for dummies" version of all the subjects was not in the market yet otherwise this would have been the appropriate name or may be Churchill for the beginners. I wanted to start reading about the 2nd world war and where else to start other than Churchill's life and writings. Before going into the hot staff I wanted to have a back ground about Churchill and found this book in the library. This is an excellent starter to know about Churchill. The book has been written for school kids so you can finish it in 3 to 4 hours. Easy to read and you don't have to consult the dictionary for any of the words. The other good thing is that since the author is American and from Boston so you get a New England, impartial view of Churchill and not a biased view. Starts from Churchill's childhood and goes through all his war experiences with most emphasis on his 1st and 2nd world war experiences. It also mentions his drawbacks and his dependence of United States and Roosevelt in particular. One of the good things is that the book is not acerbic about anybody (including Stalin) and will allow the young reader to grow his or her own judgment. Overall it is a great book to start reading about Churchill with some great photos.
