Book Overview

One of the most beloved icons of children's literature, Winnie-the-Pooh

Since 1926, Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends--Piglet, Owl, Tigger, and the ever doleful Eeyore--have endured as the unforgettable creations of A.A. Milne, who wrote this book for his son, Christopher Robin, and Ernest H. Shepard, who lovingly gave Pooh and his companions shape.

These characters and their stories are timeless treasures of childhood that continue...

Hard to read text because of the shiny pages.

It’s in better condition than I expected, but the paper is too shiny. I have to constantly move the book to find the right angle or else I can’t read the text because it’s reflecting light. It’s annoying! I didn’t realize how important the type of paper used in a book is until now.

Have You Read the Original Series?

You have to read the original series of Winner-the-Pooh books by AA Milne. Sweet, funny, and reminiscent of a simpler time of childhood. Your children will love these books!

Winnie the Pooh my favorite childhood books.

I purchased this book for my grand niece, I am hoping it will help develop a love of reading, as it did for me and my children and grandchildren.

So beautiful!

Without a doubt, one of the most important books to keep just at hand! Whenever life seems challenging, brew a cup of tea with plenty of sugar, sit down in your favorite chair and open this book! All will soon be well! Never fails!

A trip down memory lane 🍯 🐻

I ordered this as a replacement for a book I had as a kid. This took me down memory lane. ♥️

Condition

The book was listed as like new. I received a book that shouldn’t even be listed as acceptable. The front cover and first chapter are going to fall off the second I open the book. Not what I purchased.

Wonderful childhood memories

When I was a young child and we had no tv (47+ yrs ago), my father would read us this book in the evening. He would make all the different voices and I could see it all in my head. I was in awe of him, reading this wonderful book and telling such wonderful stories. When I have seen the movie, I very fondly recall my father reading to us, inspriring us to read and imagine.

Great Book

This is a great book for young children, They can look at it by themselves or enjoy listening to an adult read it.

A useful guide to Latin

My wife and I love this book -- as I study my greek and latin I find that there are far too few "real" connections of the languages for me. Imagine my surprise when she suggested this work to remind me of my youth, and yet advance my studies. And, surprisingly enough, it does help! I just wonder if reading it to my little girl (10 months) is a good idea or not. The latin of the Grinch is confusing enough!
