Lots to Learn

This book is a good introduction to wine. The information is a little overwhelming actually. But Andrew Barr makes a solid case for his primary view that wine is too be enjoyed with a meal, and that good wine does not need to be expensive. Barr uncovers a lot of information. The phoniness of expensive wines, the intentional adding of sugar, yeast, and other wine to change the taste of a certain blend, and how a Cabernet Sauvignon may contain Pinot Noir or other grapes. This is a worthy book. His other book "Drink" is even better.
