BREAD BY BETH HENSPERGER, not William Sonoma Bread

This book was listed as "condition very good". It WAS NOT! 3 pages fell out as soon as I opened it. VERY disappointed.... I will think twice before ordering again

Got a wrong book..

I already own a copy of the one I was sent. I was sent a different book from what was listed and shown in picture. Disappointed that I own 2 of the same books now.

Two different books

Two different books are shown on this listing. Twice I picked Bread by Beth Hensberger and twice I got the Williams Sonoma bread book. They are leagues apart! No where near the same type of recipes. Two different books should not be on a listing.

Awesome book

I have several Williams Sonoma cook books and love them all. This one is just as great. Well written recipes that are workable for both the expert or novice cook. A nice variety of recipes, this isn't a one note collection. There are breads for the oven, the grill, and even steamed bread. I really appreciate the side comments included with every recipe. Whether it highlights an unusual ingredient or gives details on a method. I highly recommend this book.

Great bread book

I've got a number of bread books and although I've only made a couple of the recipes, I think this book will become one of two or three favorites. Nice pictures and the background info on the various breads is interesting. The print is large enough to read without glasses - something increasingly important to me. A well made and bound book that will probably have olive oil and butter stains before too long.

simply the best

I also bought this book in college, and now 12 years later, it is my bread bible. Hensperger's instructions are simple and the breads--no matter what kind--always are delicious. Always. I've tried other bread cookbooks, but always come back to this one.

Beth is the Bomb!!

I bought this book in college back in 1988. A budding baker and cook, Beth inspired me to knead my arms out. Bread machines are great but nothing connects you to the bread more than hand kneading it. The magic I derived from watching a rising loaf motivated me to become a professional brewer!!Beth's recipes are wonderful and she guides even the novice quickly through producing top notch loaves. Favorites including the Whole Wheat Basil Bread, the Olive Baguettes and the Seeded Dill Rye. Her muffin recipes are also fabulous--I've made them all. I'm especially fond of the Wild Rice and Shiitake Mushroom muffins and the Fresh Lemon muffins. After all these years, I think I may go buy another book on bread--one of Beth's new ones!!

Best recipe book for bread making, ever!

I have tried over a dozen of the recipes and they have all turned out fantastic! Sometimes I have substituted ingredients and still produced excellent bread. Favorite recipes include: yogurt french bread, Taos pumpkin bread, country bread with golden raisins and walnuts, and more!
