What A Delight to Be Swept Away!

What a delight it was to be swept away by this book, which once opened was as sure to happen to a reader as being caught up in some tropical storm. I could really relate to Lea Palmer trying to make it on here own on that island and not listening to all the men who seemed to think she couldn't cut it. When Grace, Phoebe, and the others were added to the risk she takes against some of the Bahamian perils of the day, it was an allegory to me of all the hard choices that face leaders and individuals in today's world, where nothing is as simple as we'd like it. What a glorious setting and lively adventures. Get this book, and cling to your chair and cheer for Lea. Hoorray!

A pleasant surpise reading this book.

I don't often spend time reviewing fiction books because more often than not the book never captures my attention. For me a book must have something it to make me want to keep reading. Wildcat did growl is one of those books. I finish this book in less than two hours and was ready for more. Russ Hall takes the reader on a journey that start off on a peaceful island in the Bahamas and after about 10 minutes of reading I was hooked. I was impressed by the way Russ Hall kept you wondering what was coming next. The book doesn't lag and the pages turn quickly. I enjoyed the way the book finished and how the story was not predictable. The author's writing style is one that makes the story come to life and you can feel the action as it happens.Priced to fit any budget, this book makes a great gift for any and all occasions. If more works of fiction were written like this book maybe I spend more time reviewing them. Overall and excellent read.

A Real Page-Turner

I expected an adventure when I got this book, but didn't know how good it'd be since it came from a publisher I'd not heard of. But I started to read and the next thing I knew it was 3:30 a.m. and I was done at last and could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Man, this book had me turning the pages -- with twists and turns all along the way, but I had to hang in there because I wanted to see what happened to the characters I liked. I'd like to see the movie if this book's made into one. I learned a lot about the tropics from this book, and it made me want to go there, but with friends. Read this book and you'll feel like you've been to exotic and faraway places.

Hall's Third Book is also First Rate!

Russ Hall is a very fine mystery and adventure writer. Each of his three published books show a skill of invention, style and pace that is different from book to book. Wildcat Did Growl is a thrill ride. The main character is a sort of Bruce Willis (of Die Hard) wrapped in a female body. Plot twists abound, and the sense of place (the Bahamas) is remarkable as well. Hall is very good. Buy his book; it will not disappoint.
