In Depth Read

It's a great book. I does start of a little slow. I had to make myself keep reading for about the first 30 pages because of all the detail and the jumping around of who's view the book is being written in at the moment. There's a lot of information you don't get in the beginning but begins to reveal itself the more you read. Which I discovered is half the fun of it, finding out what things mean with the charachters. It's really in depth and there's a lot of detail. But the way everything ties into the story, the plot, how the authors can take everything back centuries and the charater developement is great. I agree that the book seems to be more adult than young adult, not for anything sexual as stated, but because of so much detail and you do need to keep up and have a good reading memory of what has gone on. But just because I think it's in the wrong section doesn't mean I'm going to give it only 3 stars. It's a good read and if you can keep up it keeps you turning the pages fluently. After I got past the beginning I just kept turning pages and found myself on page, like, 150 to 250 without even thinking about it. Good read for more in depth young adult readers and adults alike. I recommend it.

A nice read for the younger crowd

While I did enjoy this book, because magical fiction books are generally great reads, I found it tough to really enjoy it because of several grating things that anyone that some may find annoying. First using the Goddess as an evil figure really doesn't make sense. Neither does using Pan as an evil figure (which really, he's just Lord of Nature). This, of course can be a touchy subject for some. Secondly, the plot had a lot of slow points, and because it jumps around a lot, it may be difficult for some people to follow. Because it jumps around so much in the beginning, it was hard to keep characters straight, but it does become easier after the first few chapters. The history between the two feuding families is greatly written, and well known to the reader, but actual use of magic is rather slim to none. I know that this is really what makes books stand out. The high points of the book also can be a bit dull and make me want to skip over them, or at least skim through them so I don't have to read the entire thing. Overall, it is a good read. The younger crowd will probably enjoy it more because of the subject, not because of how well it flows and goes together.

WOW!

Okay, i read this book when i was 11 (now im 12) and i gobbled it up it took me a day to read it! It was AWESOME! B the first page i was hooked. Even the cover page hooked me!
