A beautiful story!

Why, Zaida? is a beautiful, poignant story about a young boy who questions his grandfather about the Holocaust. The questions he asks are both thoughtful and thought-provoking, and the imagery is both sweet and sad. This illustrated book answers the question that most Holocaust survivors have difficulty answering--Why? Alvin Abram, the author, shows a talent for revealing the affects of the Holocaust in a humanistic, emotional manner. It is sad, though, that the questions needs to be asked at all.
