Meeting God amidst suffering

This is an excellent book that views modern suffering in the context of the book of Job. Suffering drives home the fact that no human being is god, but that we can connect with God when we come to the end of our own resources. Life is hard, and the only way we can make sense of it is to surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.
