This book is a great gift for a new dad, or for Father's Day. Guaranteed to make a dad tear up!

Great coffee table book, and an important reminder.

I was given a copy of this book by my sister Amy for Christmas this year. I have two little daughters and she obviously understands the importance of a Dad in her life and wanted me to as well. This is not a deep read, just photos and short bits of wisdom. However, that's not to say it isn't emotionally resonating. I had tears in my eyes while reading and thinking about the role I have in my two daughter's lives. It is humbling and wonderful at the same time.If you have daughters, or know someone who does, then this book is a simple reminder of the important role that fathers play in the healthy development of their female children. A great coffee table, or end table, book to serve as a gentle reminder of the responsibility of caring for a daughter.

Every Daughter should share this with her Dad

I was 11 when my father died, but the 11 years I had with him shaped every day of the 15 years that have followed. He was an inspiration, guide, comfort, example, hero, and friend. This book captures the undeniably unique realtionship a father shares with his daughter in exquisite photographs and touching text. Every daughter should share this with her father.

Why a dad needs this book

Many fathers have difficulty really expressing their love and affection towards their daughters - and daughters to their dads. In this book the feeling is evident and pervasive. Daughters mean the world to fathers and fathers are irreplaceable to their daughters. In my experience, my relationship with my father has grown steadily over time. Thankfully now, in my late twenties, I can appreciate his influence on my life and take pride in the characteristics that he has passed on to me. Just reading the opening statements from Gregory Lang made me instantly feel like sharing this special book with my father...almost as a way to help us open up more and communicate on the special bond that we share. The photographs speak volumes of the varied relationships we all have with our fathers. Some of us are still together, laughing at our inside jokes, sharing a game of catch while we barbeque in the summer. Others of us don't have that luxury of still being together but those memories still make us smile. These pictures touch my heart by helping me to remember my dad and I growing up together but also in looking back - as I begin my new life making my own family. The images are so beautiful that I feel as though I know those people...that their faces and actions speak to the true nature of their realationships with their fathers...trust, adoration, safety, comfort, wishing he was still here. This book is breathtaking and I look forward to surprising him on Father's Day with his own special book!
