Short biographies of Biblical characters

This is a very useful and readable dictionary. In many of the entries she makes small stories of the lives of the characters.

An excellent companion to the bible

This is not a new book but it has stood the test of time. I have been using it for over 20 years a reference. It's very readable as well as informative. In fact, I used it to find a name for our daughter!
