great for religious conservatives

I haven't finished this book yet, but so far it's very compelling. I must say that I'm not as adamit on certain issues as Feder is, but now I have another insight. Great reading. It actually doesn't put me to sleep, but makes me want to read more.

A book about LOGIC not Religion

This book is one of my all time favorites. I do not with everything Mr. Feder has to say, but his writing style is so down to earth. He doesn't use invectives or vitriolic attacks. Instead he very calmly portrays the issues in a commonsense fashion. He then uses LOGIC and REASON to come up with solutions to problems.I think it is the clear cut logic and reason that impressed me the most. Usually you see mental gymnastics performed by those who want to push their ideas and morals onto others. Not in this case, Mr. Feder simply shows a problem, looks at the history of the problem and then shows the logical solution. Pure simplicity. Thank You Mr. Feder for writing a book that makes you smile and makes you think.

Feder is insightful and right on the mark

Feder has given us a true look at the situation that exist within the borders of our country and clearly spells out the things that are going wrong and who is responsible for them. He is one of those rare individuals who can stand up and make you take notice of his use of the pen. An excellent book for anyone who believes that the truth is still our there.

The best collection of essays on the culture wars.

This is a no holds bar collection of satire and polemics. Feder manages to destroy the myth that all good Jews must be culturaly liberal. At the same time Feder manages to shame pure fiscal conservatives as cowards. Liberal Jews should stop fearing the religious right and start fearing Don Feder.
