Breaking the Monotony of Office Life with a Twist

Rifat, apparently, has spent too much time staring at office supplies, wondering what to do next. "Who Took All The Paperclips" is a collection of craft projects using many of the items floating around the average office, (Except for the boxes of matches. I don't think I've ever seen them on a supply list anywhere.) Some them are just randomly silly--the voodoo boss doll made from a mouse pad--others are kinda dumb--the cardboard chandelier (unless you find a way to attach LED lights and make it actually work), and, then, there is the Andy Warhol-esque Marilyn Monroe mural made of Post-It notes. I'm pretty sure that one might attract the wrong kind of attention, especially during the current job market. But, it does look pretty cool. Most companies have the cube clown. This is the book he probably gets his inspiration from and that eventually either gets him promoted for fostering team spirit or fired for wasting office supplies. Hours of fun for everyone. Except the guy that has to restock the supply room.

Great ideas for office boredom!

Loved all the cool crafts I can make at the office when I have free time, especially since the materials are all at my fingertips. Hats off to this creative author! Must get back to building my voodoo boss!

Quirky, clever and very smart

Rifat's book is much more than the title suggests (a parody of Who Moved my Cheese?.) It is not about making a necklace out of paper clips, and it is not about wasting office resources (like glue, clips and -what about employee time?-). It is a book full of secrets about creativity. It is taking simple elements and making something different, something irreverent, something clever. Wasting time is sitting at a computer looking at yahoo! finance all day and tracking the celebrity gossip or updating your facebook on company time. Rifat's book breaks the monotony of office life, and puts idle time and idle minds on a path of creativity and "thinking-out-of-the-box" that even the boss may be glad to see when he comes back to look. This book is a wonderful guide to exercising creative thinking and creative doing: a workout for the mind. It is a craft book for high IQ worker bees. Very original!
