Was prepared to be entertained with fluff.......

but instead, was truly engrossed in this book. I was in a bookclub with the author probably close to 10 years ago and when I saw this book advertised in a Target flyer I was so excited for her. I assumed the book would be your run of the mill brit chick lit........which I enjoy on occasion. However, I fully engaged with most of the characters, was on an emotional rollercoaster with them, and loved the way Tess presented opposing points of view about shared experiences. I've already recommended this book to my current bookclub members and hope others enjoy it as much as I did! Much deserved congratulations, Tess! My only request.......write a follow up book with Xan's life as the main story!!

Loved it

This is a great story. It's a quick read I couldn't put down. I loved seeing it from all characters perspectives because something that one person would do that seemed unreasonable to another...it made sense when you heard it from the other person's side. I'd definitely recommend this book.

Great book! Finished in one sitting.

Admittedly I have never heard of Tess Stimson before..I picked up this book as it piqued my curiosity being the mother of twins. I have to say I could not put it down! Stimson's characters are well developed and its very hard to read just one chapter. I believe the author has done a superb job describing new motherhood, the joys and despair and the helplessness of the first few months. For anyone who is a mother or wife or caregiver..do yourself a favor and pick up a copy!
