A Keeper for Your Theological Library

Carolyn Nystrom has authored books for both children and adults, and her thinking is full and biblically sound. What a treat it is when someone who is theologically gifted also knows how to talk to children! She really, really does!! My six-year-old, who had become frustrated with a lot of the children's Bible books we were reading to him (heavy on morality, but weak on the idea of grace), connected instantly with this book--Who Is God?--and asked if I could read it to him every day! It is a tender, hopeful little book that points children to the One who is big enough to help them.

I like the book...but it's a little smaller than I expected. But it did come quickly.

Being a Christian Preschool and Elementary Teacher, I am always looking for exciting written materials to use in my classes. This book is excellent! Since finding and reading "Who Is God?", it has become a must for me when beginning a new school year. It explains the "basics" about God in a way that sparks all of the children in class to add their own comments or questions! What more could you want in a Christian classroom! This book helps children understand who God is by relating Him to people and events in most children's experiences. The brightly illustrated pages also help to hold the attention of even the youngest children. This is a great addition for any library - home, school, or church!
