The task of this thesis is to examine the identity of the Gentiles in Rom 2:14-15. This thesis seeks to advance the argument, that the Gentiles 'who do the law' are Christian Gentiles, part of the new covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34, to which Paul purposefully alludes to in 2:15. This reading is supported by a historical precedent in the character of Abraham in Rom 4. Abraham is historically a Gentile who 'does the law.'
