An achingly sweet novel of youth, loss, and new beginnings...

"Whitewater Bar & Grill", Shirley Linkhart's prequel to her earlier book, "No Accounting For Murder" (AuthorHouse, 2002) featuring tax accountant turned detective Suzanne Mctavish, was a delight to read and well worth waiting for these last three years! Decades melt away as author Linkhart whisks us back in time to Suzanne's formative years in her fictional hometown of Barkerville, Oregon where the local townsfolk work hard to make a living, and drink even harder at the main social gathering spot in town, the Whitewater. Filled with colorful characters and imbued with a bittersweet love story as its main theme, Whitewater Bar & Grill does not disappoint.
