White Bird

What I remember about White Bird is that the bird was white and it was John Thomas's favorite bird. I think this book was a cool book to read because it was exciting and adventurous and that John Thomas was really sad when someone stole White Bird from his house.

I will always remember the ending. This book was... excting,awesome, and sad! I think others should read this book because it is fun to read! It made me feel sad,excited, happy, and glad!

My First Book

White Bird is the first book I remember reading, likely in 1969. I have held onto my copy all of these years and am now reading it to my six year old son. And he is reading it to me. It is a moving story written in simple direct language. While this is a children's book, written in language a child can understand, the plot and story is thought provoking and interesting even to an adult.
