Whistles, a clown in the Starlight Calliope circus, was beloved by all. One day an accident nearly cost him his life, and he became exposed to the corrupt underworld of the circus, rife with murder and cannibalism. Forced to flee, he experiences the hardships of the world such as homesickness and prostitution. But his spirit remains bright and optimistic.
I am a fan of Andrew Hussie because of MS Paint Adventures. I bought this book because I heard about it from somewhere on that site, or something. I like the story, and I like the art, and I like it a lot as a whole. It is GOOD STUFF.
What idiot tagged this as a childrens' book?

The Starlight Calliope is surreal, ersatz genius from a guy whose art I saw on the internet and wanted to support. A bizarre tale of insane clowns, cannibalism, murder, and psychedelic cities, if you don't buy this (New, not used) you're dumb. Where's part 2?

so my lazy butt finally got around to reading this wonderful and spot on story about Byron...or Lord Byron. those in the goth scene will recognize themselves and all the other characters that inhabit the dark realm of the goth world...otherwise known as plebs in fangs... those that enjoy a bit of humor with their gore will appreciate this story of Byron as he faces posers, hallucinogenic toads, his brother(s) in a jar, the casually murderous Ms. Tallow and Mr Barrow, an undead murderous nun, a vampire on a mission from god and dark cthulhu forces. an enjoyable read...i only hope Byron is not so disillusioned with his life that he abandons his dark ways in the next volume. my girlfriend liked it as well and gave it five stars! ;) she's a snarky one.
