In order to appreciate this or any humor book, you actually need to have a sense of humor to begin with. My husband and I both got a kick out of it.
Changed My Mind - I'm Buying More Copies Of This Book To Give To Friends

I have to say that I personally didn't like this book, but it has been passed around from one friend to another, and half of them raved about it, enjoyed it and said that they really identified with Lilli Putian. In fact, it's time to buy more copies, as they keep disappearing, ending up on bookshelves instead of being passed to the next reader in the group. The like/dislike is almost equally divided. Those who liked the book really really liked it, and those who didn't like it really hated it. The author speaks most strongly to those mothers who are either home with their kids or able to work at a job with an employer that works around their schedules. The ones who are stuck in jobs they hate and who are unhappy being away from their kids during the day said they didn't get the point of this book, and a few even suggested that the author was clueless. So there you have it: my greatly revised personal review of this book. It will make a great gift for a woman who is happy where she is right now, but it might not be such a good book to offer a woman who is going through a heavy personal crisis. If you're grieving or struggling to get by in life, and happy people are really annoying you right now, or if you're wondering why the sun is still shining, this book won't help ease your pain.
HILARIOUS

Gals, this is a laugh every paragraph. People on the airplane thought I was nuts laughing out loud to myself. I don't even have kids and I loved it.
Well worth the read.

This is an anthology of fun stories, well written. Who can argue with a "Laughter is the best medicine" viewpoint of life? Any reminder is well worth the price I spend.
Funny book!

Lilli appears to have a different view on life, but in a good way. Much like Erma Bombeck could take a story and weave it magically with humor, Lilli manages to charm and entertain. I was given a copy by a good friend, but have sent copies on to my mother and a few others, as this just seemed to be the perfect book for any woman to read. I'm hoping to read more from Lilli in the future!
