Sitting in a paper gown on an examination table Maddie is surprised when the door opens and in walks Dr. Nick Ryan.Nick is now a widower with an angry teenage son who blames him for his mother's untimely death.Maddie isn't sure letting Nick back into her life is the best for her but he wants to be a father to her child and she sees herself as a teenager when she looks into Nick's angry son's eyes........maybe she can help him come to terms with his mother's death. I really enjoyed Maddie's struggles to forgive Nick for his betrayal, she is a forgiving woman that doesn't hold grudges. She takes Nick's son into her heart as if he is her own. She has an estranged relationship with her mother, when her mother finds out she is pregnant they both try to repair.WHERE THE HEART IS, is a wonderful page turn that kept me up late to finish.Now to check out Ms. Keelyn's backlist.Debbie Gilbert
