Teaching Financial Management

As an adult, there have been many things I found that I wished I had known when I was a little girl. One of those things is about handling money. I feel I would've benefitted from an earlier training in sound money management principles. In WHERE IS MY MONEY?, little Twyla is in desperate search of her missing money. She looks everywhere, until her parents inform her that she spent all her money. Overwhelmed at the thought of not being able to buy anything, her parents sit her down and explain how to keep track of money coming in and money going out. They give her the tools and the encouragement to set her on the right path to managing her own money. Twyla Prindle has written a timely and much needed introduction to financial management for kids. The lesson is simple, but will pay off in huge dividends. It lays an uncomplicated foundation for children to become better financial managers as adults. The illustrations by Randy Jennings are colorful, eye-catching and on point. WHERE IS MY MONEY? will be a nice addition to any young child's library. This book has opened a curiosity in my child about the real meaning of money. As most children know that you can buy things with money, not many know that more can be done.
