Wonderful book by a wonderful man

Thad is my bishop, and it was actually only last year that I read his book. It is quite an amazing piece of writing; though probably not up to the level of what he could do today, it's still an inspiring book which drives the reader back to the Cross. And, it gets cool points for mentioning my dad by name a couple of times. And mentioning my brother and me.

Finding hope in the midst

No matter our beliefs, living life leaves each one of us subject to tragedy. Barnum uses his work at a plane crash as a framework for this book--also weaving other experiences from his own life as human being and pastor to really wrestle with the hard questions of life. The reader is drawn into the questions and then given reason to hope. This book offers profound insight with universal appeal. It is a well-written resource for believer and unbeliever alike.
