Where Do Falling Stars Go? has a rhyming repetition that intrigues younger children and captures their imagination. They like to offer their own ideas as to where they think falling stars go. I have been a kindergarten teacher and I think this book would prove to be quite popular with young children. Now, I am also a grandmother of a 9 month old boy and he loves to have me read this book to him. He likes for me to insert his own name when the question is being asked, "Where do falling stars go, does Jakob know?"

"Do you know, do you know" why we love this book so much? Everytime we read it together- and I do mean together as it only takes a page or two before our children join in on the repeating verses- we end up in a pile of laughs. The simple but colorful illustrations encourage small ones to think up yet one more place a falling star might end up and what would happen if stars really did fall into unexpected places. We still enjoy adding our own "star destinations" to this wonderful little book of such big imagination. Just right for the pre- or emerging-reader "Falling Stars..." heads our list of great gifts for 2 to 5 year olds. We bought it for our oldest at age 4. Now age 7, she easily reads it to her younger siblings. With poem-like,easy-to-remember verses, we predict it is destined to become a well-loved classic.

An enchanting children's book!

I LOVE "Where Do Falling Stars Go?"! The pictures are so charming I wanted to frame them. And the words are poetic and amusing at the same time. I brought the book as a gift when I went to visit my cousins, and it was an instant hit. Their two-year-old son wanted me to read it to him over and over. Their five-year-daughter quickly memorized it and actually began reading her first words from it before my eyes. We've now sent it to several other friends -- always to rave reviews. No matter the age of the child we send it to, the brothers and sisters (and parents) all love it, too. The perfect addition to a child's library, and a wonderful gift.
