Good book but read it before watching the tv series.

I liked the story and the overall plot of the book. However, I was expecting more romance, especially when compared to When Calls the Heart (the Hallmark series). Because of the lack of romance, the ending wasn't as satisfying to me. I'm sure if I read this book before watching the series, I would have liked it a little bit more.
